Affiliate Disclosure
BetToolKit earns commissions from some of the operators we list. Here is exactly how that works, and what it does - and does not - change about our reviews.
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a referral system: a website like BetToolKit links to a bookmaker or casino, and if a reader signs up and meets certain conditions (typically a first deposit), the operator pays a commission to the website. It is the standard funding model for the comparison-site category, alongside display advertising and paid newsletters.
How BetToolKit gets paid
We hold direct affiliate agreements with most of the licensed bookmakers and casinos featured across the site. When you click an outbound link or use a bonus code from one of our listings and complete the operator's signup process, we may receive a one-time bounty, a revenue share, or a combination of both. The terms vary per operator and per market, and they have no bearing on the price or bonus you receive.
No extra cost to you
Using our affiliate links costs you nothing. The bonuses, terms, and odds you see on the operator's site are identical whether you arrive through us, through a Google ad, or by typing the URL directly. You are not paying our commission - the operator pays it from its own acquisition budget.
What affiliate compensation does NOT change
We are explicit about this because it matters most:
- Rankings and ratings are determined by our editorial scoring criteria - licensing, payout speed, betting markets or game variety, mobile UX, customer support, responsible-gambling tooling - not by commission rates.
- Operators cannot pay for a higher position in our top-lists or for a more favourable rating. Where any placement is paid (sponsored sections, banner units), it is visibly labelled.
- We list and review operators that do not have an affiliate program with us when they are relevant to a market we cover. We also remove operators we previously promoted when their licensing, conduct, or payout reliability deteriorates.
- Negative findings - slow payouts, reader complaints, regulatory actions - are reflected in the review even when the operator is a paying partner. See our Corrections Policy for how we update content when facts change.
Editorial firewall
The team that negotiates affiliate deals is separate from the team that writes and reviews. Our editorial team is informed which operators we have agreements with, but is not given commission targets, exclusivity demands, or copy-approval rights from those operators. Operators do not see our reviews before publication.
How affiliate links are identified
Outbound links to commercial partners carry rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes in line with Google's webmaster guidelines for affiliate content. Bonus codes that route through our tracking are clearly visible on the page; brand mentions in editorial copy that do not link to a partner are unattributed and uncompensated.
Calculators and free tools
Our calculators (wagering requirement, surebet, Kelly criterion, expected value, and the rest) and free analytics tools are not affiliate products. We do not earn a commission when you use them, they require no signup, and they work the same regardless of whether you ever click an operator link from BetToolKit. They are funded by the affiliate revenue from the comparison side of the site.
Regional regulators and licensing
We only feature operators that hold a recognised license in at least one of the markets we cover (for example MGA, UKGC, GGL, Curacao eGaming, ANJ, or the Brazilian SPA). When a license is suspended or withdrawn, the operator is delisted from country-specific top-lists. Geo-restricted offers are flagged where we are aware of them; readers should always verify legality in their own jurisdiction before depositing.
