How we write, verify, and maintain the content on BetToolKit - calculators, guides, and operator reviews alike.

Our Mission

BetToolKit exists to give bettors and casino players tools and information that are accurate, independent, and free of the dark patterns common in the gambling affiliate space. Player protection and transparency come before affiliate revenue - always.

Who Writes Our Content

Our Malta-based editorial team includes researchers, data analysts, and former gambling-industry professionals with 10+ years of combined experience in sports betting, casino mathematics, machine learning, and data analytics. We do not publish anonymous user-generated content, and we do not accept guest posts from operators.

Editorial Process

Every piece of content goes through the same pipeline:

  1. Research - we gather regulatory filings, academic sources, and operator documentation.
  2. Draft - a writer with relevant domain knowledge produces the initial article or review.
  3. Fact-check - a second team member verifies every quantitative claim against primary sources.
  4. Editorial review - the piece is reviewed for clarity, tone, and alignment with this policy.
  5. Publish - we publish with a visible published date and, where relevant, an "Updated on" timestamp.
  6. Scheduled re-review - each piece is scheduled for a re-review on a cadence defined below.

Fact-Checking Standards

We cite primary sources wherever possible: regulatory authorities (MGA, UKGC, Curacao eGaming), licensing registries, operator terms of service, and peer-reviewed or reputable academic publications for mathematical claims. Odds-related claims are verified against at least three bookmakers before publication. When we are uncertain or cannot verify, we say so in the piece.

Update Cadence

We refresh existing content on a fixed cadence so ratings and recommendations don't go stale:

  • Bookmaker and casino reviews - re-tested and updated at least every 120 days.
  • Strategy and educational guides - reviewed at least every 6 months.
  • Calculator content and logic - reviewed on-demand whenever relevant regulations or operator terms change.

Independence from Advertisers

We may receive affiliate compensation when a reader opens an account with an operator we link to. This compensation does not affect the star rating, the pros/cons, or the editorial verdict for that operator. We also review operators with whom we have no affiliate relationship, so that readers have an honest comparison set. If a piece of content is sponsored or contains paid placement, we label it as such at the top of the page.
